May festivities

Ok, I know it's July. I'm trying catch up. Here's my first attempt. We had a lot of fun in May. We celebrated Mother's Day and my birthday.

Claire helping Daddy make corn bread for my mother's day dinner. She LOVES to help us in the kitchen, and it's so much fun!:)

My beautiful, tasty, Snicker's cheesecake Chris made for my birthday. :) YUM!

Chris got me a bunch of cake decorating tools for my birthday. I'll be all set for Claire's birthday this year!

Claire was most excited to give me the birthday card she got me. :)

Claire's good friend, Julianna, came over for a play date at the big playground. They have so much fun together. Sadly, they moved in June, but we made the most of their time together before they left!

Holding hands. Could they be any cuter?

Memorial Day weekend, we went with Julianna and her family (since her parents are our good friends too) and went to Gilroy Gardens. It is like an amusement park specifically for younger kids. We had such an awesome time, and it was free for military that weekend! Here are some of the pictures from our awesome day!

On the ferris wheel

The view from the ferris wheel

What priceless smiles as we rode the hot air balloon ride. I think they were having fun!
One of Claire's favorite rides. She rode it at least 3-4 times.

Though by this point, it was getting really breezy and cold, you can't tell. Towards the end of the day, her whole body was shaking in the cold yet asking to ride more rides. (In my defense, the forecast said it was supposed to be warm!)
Some of the pretty water falls in the park. Claire looks like a little model in this picture.
Before all the rides came, this was a garden of grafted trees which are still all over the park. This is one cool tree that Claire got inside of. Yes, it's real.
Tickling each other on the strawberry twirler ride.
On the carousel with her daddy. :)
We had such an amazing time at Gilroy Gardens. We were exhausted, but it was sad to see the day end with us all enjoying such good friends.

Claire liked to imitate Daddy doing his physical therapy exercises. (As a side note, Chris's p.j. bottoms are the ones I made for him for his birthday. :))

Claire decided to have a picnic with her weeble wobbles. This is how I found her. Too cute!

After getting home from the library, Claire was so excited and had to look at EVERY book (all 15 of them.)
