Labor Day

Like the 4th of July, there were fun festivities for the soldiers and their families on Camp Casey for Labor Day. It started off with a fun parade. I got there just in time for it to start, and Claire enjoyed watching the parade. She especially liked when they threw out candy, or even once gave out freeze pops.
Korean bagpipers in kilts. Interesting.
Transformers and other large characters on stilts.
They had some of the same fun things like the huge bouncy climbing contraption, games, and food, with the addition of some carnival rides, donkey rides, and a petting zoo. Unfortunately, Chris had really long hours that day, so he couldn't join us in the fun. Thankfully, I had a good friend whose children are best friends with Claire, to enjoy the fun with.
They were happy to see each other. Can you tell?
They got to pet animals like rabbits and puppies, looked at animals like large snakes, a sloth, a monkey, etc., and ride some rides.
I got to go on the spinning cups with them. It was really fun, and I spun us really fast. :)
Cool paddle boat where you paddle with your hands.
We had some dinner, played some games, and still had a few more tickets. We discovered there were donkey rides with or without a carriage. The kids especially LOVED doing this, and they all did it twice right before we went home. (Sorry for the dark, blurry, cell phone pictures.)
The three of them on the carriage ride.
They got to hold on to the reigns!
