Post Christmas holiday memories

The day after Christmas, we headed up to PA to spend time with Chris's family. We stayed from Friday to Monday, and in that time had a great time celebrating with them. Since a couple of people in my family had to work on new year's day, we had a little celebration with Chris's brother, sister, and families on Sunday night. We had a wonderful time together. We also celebrated Claire and Maddie's birthday with Grammy and Pop pop and exchanged Christmas presents with them as well. As I was a little tired out of taking pictures from Christmas, I sadly didn't get a lot of pictures while we were together, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time. :)

One afternoon we went to the mall. The kids were really sweet helping Amelia walk around. They also loved having a chance to ride the carousel again. It was Amelia's first time, and unlike Claire and Maddie's first time, she didn't scream and hang on to me for dear life, but loved it!

On Monday after lunch, we headed up to my parents' home in NY. We had a wonderful time with them as well. On Tuesday, my parents work as temple workers at the Palmyra temple. Since we couldn't find a babysitter, we went to Palmyra and Chris watched the kids at the visitor's center at the hill while I went to the temple and met my parents. It was so nice to go with them, and nice to see some old friends there too. On the way home, we went to Dinosaur BBQ for lunch. Yum!

The rest of our time there was spent talking, opening presents, and enjoying each other's company. It was a relaxing, fun holiday time with family. :)
Oma and Amelia. Amelia is wearing her new outfit from Oma.
Maddie got a cd with songs with her name in it like Claire did when she was 3.
Claire waiting her turn to open another present.
Amelia loved her special book with lots of buttons and music.
Maddie was thrilled to get a Minnie Mouse costume. And she's so cute in it too!
Claire got an Anna costume - something she's wanted for a while.
Mom opening the apron I made her.
I love how expressive my mom is. She laughed really hard when she realized we got each other the exact same calendar.
They were supposed to be taking a nap. I came in and found them all with Amelia in her crib.  So sweet.

New Year's Eve festivities. We had yummy snacks and watched movies. I introduced the girls to Ella Enchanted.
The kids wanted to go play in the snow and use Claire's new shovel. We forgot to bring their boots, so to protect their feet, we put plastic bags with rubber bands over their crocks. Haha.
Amelia wanted to try on the Minnie costume. She's such a cutie!
My Grandpa came over on New Year's Day for lunch.
New Year's Day, my parents' neighbor/ my extra grandma came over to visit. We had a wonderful visit and she brought gifts for the kids.
Here are the kids waiting with their eyes closed for a gift.
The kids with Mrs. C with their coloring books and sock monkeys.
I love how Amelia is looking at my dad here.
