So it's amazing how a little baby can take up so much room in a car! We had a 2007 Aveo that we bought new a year and a half ago thinking it would be fine for a family for at least a kid or two. Well, the car seat just fit in the middle, and would never fit on the side once we have another child. The stroller takes up the whole trunk! Chris was very concerned how we were going to go anywhere in a car with a small trunk. It would be unsafe to pack things that could fly around in the back seat. This is especially challenging when Chris needs to bring at least one horn with him when we go places. Sometimes he needs as many as 3 horns - double, descant, and natural horns.
So, Chris started looking at options for larger vehicles, though we were both sad to get rid of our Aveo. We both really liked that car, and I learned to drive manual with that car. It was cool and sporty. Anyway, on Tuesday, after Chris did a bunch of research online, we bought a Ford Freestar Limited minivan, and traded in our Aveo. The minivan is stinking sweet! The Limited version of the Freestar is the one with all the bells and whistles. I can't even list them all, but some of them include keyless entry (super handy with a baby!), heated front seats (ahh, butt warmers), power everything, traction control, systems check, doors on both sides that open with the push of a button, 6 cd changer, great sound system, etc. The back seat also easily folds into the van for extra cargo room. We both love the van. Hopefully we'll be set for quite a while with this vehicle. We can fit lots of kids in this thing, and we enjoy the luxury features.
Here are some pictures of the van. Of course it did look better, but we live in NY, so salt stains the sides. It looks like dents, but it's just salt.
Congratulations! That's awesome!
