Fall is here!

October started with a bang with a visit from Chris's Uncle Danny from Dallas. He was at a conference in Baltimore, and we jumped on the opportunity to meet him for dinner and enjoy some time together. We decided to go to Phillip's Seafood right on the waterfront in Baltimore. The food was delicious and the company was even better. Claire especially LOVES Uncle Danny and quickly ran to him to hold his hand and talk his ear off. It was pretty darn cute. She was excited to sit next to him during dinner too. We had a great time together. :)

Amelia also turned 7 weeks on October 1st. Isn't she sweet?

At the beginning of October, the weather was actually unusually warm...like 90s. Claire got some fun summery play in while it lasted. All summer, she loved when I would go out in the yard and water the plants. At first she would just get herself slightly wet. It then progressed to getting soaking wet. She then realized it made more sense to just put her bathing suit on instead of having to change her clothes when she came back inside. Here she is running through the hose in her cute new bathing suit she got this year. :)

Less than a week later, she was in the back yard helping her daddy rake the leaves, jumping in leaf piles, and creating little "bird nests" with the piles. She LOVES to be outside with daddy. (Just a few days ago, on November 23rd, we finished raking the last of the leaves and filled 14 bags!)

Fall weather also eventually brought cooler temperatures, so we of course had fun inside as well. The kids especially love playing dress up, and October is especially fun to do so with Halloween. Here are some of their fun outfits. They are so cute!

Claire came down the stairs and introduced me to her husband, bear. Haha.

There is also a lot of sisterly love in this house. I am so grateful they get along so well most of the time. They are so sweet toward each other and Claire and Maddie LOVE to play with each other and also love holding Amelia.

They love watching kid song videos on youtube together.

Maddie shares her love with all of her pals too. She helps them play the piano, press buttons to start the laundry, turn on/off light switches, give hugs and kisses to us, swing comfortably in the baby swing, etc. She likes this monkey, but her FAVORITE pal is her cow. So cute.

We had a great start to October and fall! Chris originally was supposed to be away for training during the fall, but thankfully those plans were changed. We were so grateful to be enjoying fall (Chris's favorite season) together in this new area we live in!
