Visiting family

Since we were in Korea for a year, it had been a while since we had seen most of our family. Soon after we got back, since we were waiting for our shipments to arrive anyway, we went to visit family in NY and PA. There is nothing in this world that makes me happier than being with my family - both my little family, and my extended family.

Memorial Day weekend, we went to visit my sisters in Albany. Since we didn't have enough time to make it to my parents' on the other side of the state, they also went to Albany to see us. It was so fun to see everyone again, and Claire was especially in heaven playing with her cousins.

One day, we went to the Saratoga state park. It was a beautiful spring day, and we soaked it all in. The kids had a great time playing together and the ducks, and Chris enjoyed a good opportunity to use his camera. :)
I used to LOVE chasing ducks. What am I talking about? I STILL love to. I just find it so humorous. I was proud to see Claire feels the same. :)

Throwing coins in the fountain. I love how Megan is about to throw, Claire just barely threw her's in, and my dad is giving me money to give Maddie to throw . :)

My little monkey.
Claire loves her Oma. :)
Claire with her cousin, Josh.
Claire and Megan hugging. I love how they both have their eyes closed like they are soaking in the moment of being back together. Megan is just 2 months older than Claire. So sweet.
One night, Wendy's girls had swim lessons. They have them at this really cool pool play place. The girls love the water, so we went along with them. That way, the cousins could play when it wasn't their turn for lessons. Also, my sister and I got to chat. So fun!

After having a fabulous time with my sisters, their families, and my parents, we drove down to PA to visit with Chris's family. We had a great time visiting and again, Claire and Maddie had fun playing with their cousins. Chris's brother has a daughter who is just one month older than Maddie.
There is a significantly different variety of toys to play with when you have a 7 year old boy cousin! Fun!

Maddie giving her cousin a good ride!
Two peas in a pod. Notice that Maddie has put on Claire's panties before Claire could get dressed that morning. Maddie LOVES doing that.
Why not add the way-too-big-for-her skirt as well! She's so cute.
Maddie's turn for the SWAT helmet.
It may have been over a year since Claire was at her Great Grammy's house, but she still knew right where to go for the toys.
Love for Great Grammy.
Maddie is a little shy, but if she sees big sister giving hugs, she will too. This of course made Great Grammy and Great Pop pop very happy.
We of course had a wonderful time visiting with family and are so grateful that we live close enough now to see them more regularly, not to mention, we're finally in the same time zone, so calling is a lot easier. :)
